Why choose this retreat?
1. You will be provided counseling by a licensed marriage and family therapist, LMFT. You will have more than the typical one or two hours of 1:1 therapy. Here, you will have a minimum of 10 to 15 hours of counseling time, which also includes individual time with therapist. There are no “life coaches”. There is no “one or two” hours of therapy. You are here for change, not a bandaid!!
2. This is a unique retreat modified to your specific needs and interests.
3. Prior to attending you will complete an assessment so by arrival your strengths and areas of concern will be known to the therapist.
4. Activities that are chosen by you will be planned and ready for you to attend.
5. All inclusive with the exception of dinner.

Couples sometimes get into a cycle, a habit that becomes a negative interaction loop. They expect their partner to be critical, to complain and make assumptions. They respond to the partner based on the assumption and the cycle continues. At the retreat, these negative cycles are recognized and stopped. Instead, a positive loop becomes created resulting in the rebuilding of emotional connection, intimacy and a lasting relationship.

What to expect:
Day one: meet your therapist and hosts. Enjoy the night out!
Day two: Start the day with stretching or yoga, breakfast and then begin therapy. An hour for lunch and back to therapy. Stop at 5 or 6pm and enjoy the night activity and dinner.
Day 3,4 Yoga or other morning activity tbd, breakfast, Choice of therapy of activity. Transition to either therapy or activity. AT 6 pm enjoy dinner and evening out (times are flexible, order of events are flexible, these are just examples of what a typical day may look like.).
Day 5: Last day: yoga, breakfast, final activity, additional therapy if needed.
Activities include: yoga, stretching, Movie or concert at Thalia’s hall or Wilson center, ghost walk, historic carriage tours, historic walking tour, bowling, mini-golf, massage, battleship, various breweries, small clubs, comedy clubs, upscale cocktail bars, homemade ice cream shops, and other activities weather dependent: kayak, surfing, paddle boarding, golf, etc.
